View or Close the Fiscal Year

Fiscal year is a period that a company or the government uses for accounting purposes and for preparing financial statements. The fiscal year need not necessarily be the same as a calendar year, and may start from any month. For information on setting up a fiscal year, refer to the section Setting up the Fiscal Year. 

Using the Servicing Configuration tab, you can view and close the current fiscal year, if required.

Prerequisites

The following is the prerequisite to closing the fiscal year:

• Fiscal year is set up.

Steps

Perform the following steps to close the current fiscal year:

1. Log in to your Salesforce account.

2. Click Servicing Configuration.

3. Go to User and Data, Batch Jobs.

4. Click Fiscal Year Setup.

   The End Fiscal Year page is displayed.

5. Click Close this Fiscal Year.

   The End Fiscal Year page is displayed with the status Closed.
