Add a picklist value

This section explains how a picklist value can be added to a picklist field of an object with the help of an example.

Steps

To add a picklist value to a picklist field of an object:

1. Log in to your Salesforce account.

2. Go to  (Setup) > Setup.

3. In the Quick Find box, search for Object Manager and click it.

4. In the Quick Find box of the Object Manager, search for the object name and click it.

   For example, if we have to add a picklist value, Floating Rate Revision, to the Apply Holiday Treatment On picklist field of the object, Holiday Treatment Setup, then search for the object named Holiday Treatment Setup as illustrated in the following image.

5.  In the object, click the required field, and then click the picklist field.

   For example, in the following image,in the Holiday Treatment Setup object, click Fields & Relationships and then click the Apply Holiday Treatment On picklist field.

6. In the Values section, click New to add a new picklist value.

7. In the text box that appears, type the picklist value name and then click Save.

   For example, as illustrated in the following image, type Floating Rate Revision, and then click Save.

   This adds the picklist value to the picklist field.

   For example, in the following image, the Floating Rate Revision picklist value is added to the Apply Holiday Treatment On picklist field.
