Lightning Compatibility
With the advancement to the Salesforce lightning experience, the Documents tab is not available to organize and to access your files.
The files in the lightning experience can now be managed using the following tabs:
Files tab
Customized Documents tab
Manage Files on the Files Tab
With the Lithium release, the Files tab can be configured to store the generated ACH and the Metro 2 files. An ACH file is a payment file used by the financial institutions to initiate the automatic payments, whereas a Metro 2 file is used to report the customer's credit history information to the credit bureaus.

Prerequisites

Steps
Perform the following steps to view the generated files on the Files tab:
Log in to your Salesforce account.

Go to Setup > Setup.

In the Quick Find box, search for custom settings, and then click it.

For the Lightning Settings label, click Manage.

Click New.

To store the generated ACH file and Metro 2 file on the Files tab, select the Enable Salesforce Files for ACH and the Enable Salesforce Files for Metro 2 checkboxes, and click Save.

To view files on the Files tab, go to Files > Libraries.
Manage Files on the Documents Tab
In the lightning experience, a customized Documents tab is created to display all the files that are stored in the Documents object of the classic experience.
You can perform the following actions on your files:
View a file
Download a file
View a file in classic
Prerequisites
The following are the prerequisites to manage the files on the Documents tab:
The Documents tab is configured.
The Enable Salesforce Files for ACH and the Enable Salesforce Files for Metro 2 flags are disabled.
Steps
Perform the following steps to manage the files on the Documents tab:
Log in to your Salesforce account.

Click the Documents tab.

To view the files associated with a folder, select the required folder from the Folders list.

To view a document in lightning experience, click view.

To download a document, click download.

To view a document in classic experience, click view in classic.
