Configuring product department task association
A Product Department Association in Q2 Origination is used to associate products with departments. It also determines the order of application flow from stage to stage. Subsequently, the Product Department Task Association setup links the Product Department association with Tasks. It helps define tasks for a particular stage for a particular product.
The following image illustrates the product department task association (junction).
Prerequisites
The following are the prerequisites for product department task configuration:
CL Product is configured.
Stages are configured.
Tasks are defined.
Tasks are associated with stages.
Steps
Perform the following steps to set up the product stages task association:
Log in to your Salesforce account.
Go to Origination Configuration > Dashboard Setup.
Select Product Department Task Association.
In the page that appears, select New Product Department Association.
In the New Product Department Association page:
Select the Department name. For example, Origination stage.
Select the CL Product for which you want to include this stage. For example, Online Loan.
Specify the Department Order in the overall process workflow. For example, 1 if the application must be processed by the Origination stage first, in this case.
Select Save to create the product stage association. A unique Product Department Junction ID is generated. Now, you can either define all the product department associations for a CL product application flow, or define the task for the new product department association. To do the latter, proceed to step 7.
Select New Product Department Task Association.
In the Product Department Task Association page, perform the following, and then select Save.
Select the Task Setup you want to associate with the product department association.
Specify the product department junction to which you want to link tasks.
Note:The association you last created is displayed by default.
If you want the tasks to be assigned to a queue, select the Assign to Queue checkbox, and then in the Queue field specify the queue name.
Note:Queue filed will list only those queues that are associated with the Task object and the same Object Type configured for the task setup. Also, you can select the Assign to Queue checkbox only for those task setup for which the task type is selected as Manual and are not configured to be assigned to a specific user.
Specify the Task Order. The tasks on the Loan Application Dashboard appear in the order specified here.
Note:You can create multiple product department task associations. The task name and the next task name that you specified during the task setup lines up the tasks in order when the application is created.
