Installation

Overview

The Salesforce organization (org) that you install provides a basic framework with a default set of tabs through which you can set up your user and customer information. Once you log in to your new org, you can view the default applications by clicking on the drop-down list on the top right corner of the page. 

You can install CL Loan (now Q2 Loan Servicing) by directly accessing the URLs provided to you by the CL Sales team, or from within the Salesforce org. CL Loan (now Q2 Loan Servicing) installation includes installing all underlying utilities, software, and application integrations required to deliver comprehensive business functionality. The resulting framework allows you to customize the different setups and object configurations as per your business functionality. 

Prior to installing CL Loan (Q2 Loan Servicing), you are required to do the following:

  1. Obtain the Salesforce licenses, and product administrator and user licenses. You can engage with the Cloud Lending Sales team to do this.

  2. Create a Salesforce Developer Org for your organization. You can do this through the Force.com platform that offers an extremely powerful, scalable, and secure cloud computing platform. You can develop, package and instantaneously deploy applications without any infrastructure.

Each CL Loan (Q2 Loan Servicing) installation provides a pre-defined quota of server space. However, based on your data requirements, you can purchase additional space from Salesforce.  

Install CL Loan

Prerequisites

The following are the prerequisites to installing CL Loan:

  • A Salesforce account is created.

  • You have System Administrator privileges.

  • Salesforce Chatter is enabled in your organization.

Steps

Perform the following steps to install CL Loan and all required packages:

  1. Make sure you have installed the minimum versions of packages that are required.

  2. Install the packages in the following sequence:

    1. CL Utilities

    2. CL Filegen

    3. CL Integrations

    4. CL Common

    5. CL Loan (now Q2 Loan Servicing)

Note:
  • It is imperative to install the packages in the order specified here. 
  • Ensure that you obtain the supported versions of these packages for the release version of CL Loan that you require to install.
  • Wait for one installation to complete before initiating the next package installation. Each package has its own dependency, and interchanging the order of installation will result in an error.

Once the packages are installed, you can view CL Loan (Q2 Loan Servicing) in the list of installed applications, in the upper right corner of the Salesforce application. Select CL Loan (Q2 Loan Servicing) to access the various tabs and set up the loan servicing configurations.
