Dashboards
A dashboard shows data from source reports as visual components, which can be charts, gauges, tables, metrics, or visual-force pages. It is used to provide a graphical view of the data in your reports.
Features
Some of the features of a dashboard are:
You can add Components quickly by dropping them onto any column or data source.
You can add the desired data source that you want with Quick Find and Filters. Also, you can drop a source onto an existing component or any column.
You can organize your dashboard by making all the modifications from a single pane. It allows you to reorder components, re-size columns, edit or remove components and sources, edit headers, titles, and footers.
You can add a filter to let viewers choose which data to display on your dashboard. With dashboard filters, you can use a single dashboard with one set of source reports to serve a wide audience.
The dashboard's running user is clearly indicated on the page.
Note:Click the drop-down menu to change the running user or make it dynamic based on who is logged in.
It supports automatic refresh and e-mail. The refresh and e-mail can also be scheduled at intervals.
It displays data as per the last time report was run.
Types of dashboards
The table given below describes the five different types of Dashboards:
