Automatic Mix and Match
Automatic Mix and Match is a process in which the money tokens of the investors in the investment queue are invested in the loan applications that are listed in the marketplace for funding. This investment is done based on the investment criteria predefined by the investors. For example, the criteria may allow an application to be funded if it received up to 80% investment. One booking order and an investment booking is created for every application that the investor is investing in, irrespective of the number of tokens getting invested. If the investor re-invests in the loan, the booking order and investment booking are updated. Funding can be done through batch jobs or triggers, once investor funds are received. After funding, the stage of loan application in the marketplace changes from In-Funding to Funded. Also, the status of relevant loan contract changes from Partial Application to Active-Good Standing, and investment orders are created for investors under Investors tab.
For example, there are 5 money tokens of 200 each in the investment queue, and there are two applications in the marketplace, each having a requested loan amount of 1000. In this case, the loan application which is listed first gets the investment tokens first. If the first loan application in marketplace fails to meet the investment criteria set by the investor, then the next loan application is selected for investing.
This process is performed by the system using batch jobs and triggers, and needs no intervention from the lender or investor. Subsequently, if you go to Investment Queue and view the tokens, you can see that all the tokens are invested.
