Manage Complex Relationships
Q2 Origination provides financial institutions visibility into the complete relationship, including all the individuals, subsidiaries, principals, and related/affiliated businesses that contribute to the overall relationship’s credit risk. This allows you to calculate and manage credit risk accurately. For example, if a business is the primary borrowing entity associated with a commercial loan, that business’s ability to repay the loan is affected/influenced by the principal owners of the business, especially if they are guaranteeing the loan.
You can manage household relationships, business affiliations, and relationships that are a hybrid of these two types.
The field Relationship defines the relationship type—for example, business-business, business-individual, individual-individual. The field Reciprocal Role captures the roles between two connected entities- for example, owner-subsidiary, parent-child. Six roles are available out of the box:
Child - Parent
Owned By - Owner
Owner - Owned By
Parent - Subsidiary
Parent - Child
Subsidiary - Parent
Using the Relationship Graph, you can visualize the hierarchical relationship between all the entities and the various loans and deposits associated with each entity (and their role in the account). The graph is built using dynamic queries.
