Recommended User Interface Layouts
This chapter provides information to help you customize your CL Loan application to leverage the enhanced functionality provided as part of every product release. See the Layout Customization for Key Q2 Loan Servicing Features section for modifying the layout to enable specific feature functionality.
Device adaptation
The Q2 Loan Servicing application renders best in the screen resolution of 1920x1080 px. but works well with the common laptop and desktop resolutions too.
Customizing the sidebar layout
The sidebar layout is a useful starting point for your application. The Navlist in the sidebar presents the various components that help you quickly access your most frequently performed tasks. The CL Loan package offers a predefined Visualforce page “currentBranchDisplay” to customize the sidebar to enable the most frequently used setups.
The following views are offered by this page:
- Branch and Date
- Loan Quick Actions menu
Steps
Perform the following steps to invoke the custom layout:
- Log in to the CL Loan application.
- Click Setup.
- Go to Build, Customize, User Interface. Alternatively, enter User Interface in the Quick Search and press Enter. The User Interface page is displayed.
- Scroll down to the Sidebar section.
- Select the following options:
- Enable Collapsible Sidebar
- Show Custom Sidebar Components……
- Click Save.
Perform the following steps to assign the custom layout to user profiles:
- Navigate to Build, Customize, Home, Home Page Layouts. Alternatively, enter Home Page in the Quick Search and press Enter. The Home Page Layouts page is displayed.
- Click Page Layout Assignment.
- Click Edit Assignment.
- Change the assigned layout to “MFiFlex LMS” for the required user profiles.
- Click Save. Now, when the users who are assigned this custom layout access the CL Loan tabs such as CL Contracts, or Accounts, they will see the sidebar with the branch and date, and the Loan Quick Actions menu.
Create New…menu
The options under the Create New… menu are displayed based on the tabs on the top navigation bar of the application. For example, if you add the Investment Order tab in the top navigation bar, the Investment Order entry becomes available in the Create New… menu.
