Create a Company Type
The company type can be used to identify the hierarchy and nature of business for a branch. For example, the company may be the headquarters, branch office, loan branch, and so on. One company type is created as part of the initial setup for CL Loan. You can create more company types subsequently to associate with additional companies you create.
At least one company type needs to be defined in the system.
Prerequisites
The following is a prerequisite to creating a company type:
- The user is a system administrator, or has permissions to edit the Company Type object.
Steps
Perform the following steps to create a company type:
Log in to your Salesforce account.
Click Servicing Configuration.
Go to User and Data, Company Management.
Click New Company Type. The New Company Type page is displayed.
Specify the Office Type such as head office, regional office, and branch office.
Specify the Office Type Short Code such as HO, BO, and RO.
Click Save to save the company type.
