Manually setting up an investment order on a contract
Overview
After the successful assignment of an investor to a loan, an investment order is created.
Key Concepts
- An investment order can have flexible rate schedules.
- The certificate rate to an investment order is applied as per the rate schedule. This is implemented using a batch job that is to be scheduled to run and is called ChangeCertificateRateDynamicJob.
Prerequisites
The following are the prerequisites to create the initial setup of an investment order:
Investor is set up as an account.
Investor bank account is set up.
The loan is disbursed.
The Enable Fractionalization flag in the Org Parameters is set to true.
Steps
Perform the following steps to create the initial setup of an investment order:
- Log in to your Salesforce account.
- Click the App Launcher.
- Search for
CL Loan
, and then click it. - Click Contracts.
- Select the required Loan account ID.
- While selecting the Loan account ID, ensure that the loan account has the status of Active-good standing, Active-bad standing, Approved, or Active-matured.
- Click Investors .
- Click Investment order initial setup. The Multiple Investment Order Assignment page is displayed. Initially, you can see four blank rows. This implies that you can place four investment orders to start with. Click Add, only if you want to add more investment orders.
For each investment order detail row, specify the values as given in the following table:
Field Name Action Investor Specify the investor. Investment Product Specify the investment order product.
Note:This field is optional because an investment order can be created even without creating an investment product. However, to include the rate schedule for an investment order, you need to specify the investment product.
Interest Rate Schedule section displays a list of schedules if the investment product allows flexible rates. Perform the actions as specified in the following table:
Purpose Action To add a certificate rate in the schedule Click Add To edit an existing schedule Click Edit by scrolling to the right To validate Click Validate Investment Specify the investment amount only if Share is not specified.
Note:You can either enter the value of Investment or Share.
Share Specify the share if Investment amount is not specified.
Note:You can either enter the value of Investment or Share.
Commitment Amount Specify the investor commitment amount only if Commitment % is not specified.
Commitment Amount is the total amount committed by an investor. An investor can invest an amount less than or equal to the commitment amount. This amount is used in the calculation of the additional interest charged in an investment order. For more information, see Additional Interest in an Investment Order.
Note:You can either enter the value of Commitment Amount or Commitment %.
Investment Amount cannot be more than Commitment Amount.
Commitment % Specify the investor commitment percentage only if Commitment Amount is not specified.
Commitment % is the percentage that is to be calculated on the loan Credit Limit. check This percentage is used in the calculation of the additional interest charged in an investment order. For more information, see Additional Interest in an Investment Order.
Note:You can either enter the value of Commitment Amount or Commitment %.
Commitment % cannot be more than 100%.
Start Date Specify the start date. Certificate Rate Specify the certificate rate. This is the rate of interest earned by the investor.
Note:You can also change the certificate rate after an order is created. To know how to do this, see Certificate Rate.
Service Rate Specify the service rate. Service Rate is the income earned by the P2P service provider. This is calculated as the percentage of Certificate rate. For example, if the Certificate Rate is 10%
and Service Rate is defined is as 2%, the P2P service provider will earn 2% of the 10% of the investment amount.
Note:You cannot invest more than the funds available in the investor account.
Let us say, you entered a value under Investor; now Share gets updated automatically.
This depends on the Principal remaining of the loan.
Share = ( Investment Amount / ( Loan amount * 100).
Investment Amount = Share * ( Principal Remaining / 100).
Click Save.
Click Activate. In order to change the status of fractionalization from Pending to Active, click Activate.
Note:- Total ownership is the sum of share of Active, New and Pending Investment orders.
- You cannot make any further changes to your Investment Order after activation. However, if you want to make any further changes or if you want to maintain your Investment Order, click Investment order maintenance.
- You can create investment orders till the total Share reaches 100%.
You have now completed the initial setup for an investment order. Click the Investor Loan ID to view the details of the investment order. When an investment booking is converted to an investment order, investment booking is populated by the investment order that is created with the corresponding investment booking.
