Managing user access through the Launchpad
The series of tasks in the origination process often require large teams to work on the application. Each user may therefore, require access to different pages and tabs to complete their tasks. With the Launchpad, you can customize users view of the Q2 Origination application and features. This also helps improve efficiency of the users by avoiding excessive navigation to reach the required functions. For example, a loan officer typically needs to manage multiple tasks spanning multiple in-process loan applications. Rather than having to navigate to each loan opportunity to view the assigned tasks, the user can easily and more efficiently manage all tasks from the My Tasks app.
The Launchpad is a configurable user interface that enables each user to subscribe to different apps and functionality. You can also create apps and make them available in the Launchpad along with the default list provided in Q2 Origination for a user to select from. For more information on the default apps and their functions, refer to section Accessing Apps Using Launchpad in the Q2 Origination User Guide, Lynx Release.
When a user selects an app in the Launchpad, an App Subscription record is created in the system. The list of all the apps, default and custom, can be viewed in the Launchpad Apps object (or tab).
