Changing the pledged amount

Collateral can be pledged against an application for its full or partial appraised value. When you pledge an unappraised collateral, the system pledges it for zero amount. Once the appraisal is complete and a collateral valuation record gets created, you can update the pledged amount in the application. You can update the pledge amount multiple times, 

Prerequisites

The following is a prerequisite to changing the pledged amount:

• Collateral valuation is complete.

Steps

Perform the following steps to change the pledged amount:

1. Log in to your Salesforce account.

2. Go to the application to which the collateral is pledged.

3. Select Collateral in the Application Dashboard, and select the required collateral. The collateral details are displayed.

4. Select Pledged Amount in the list of icons on the right. The Pledge Collateral Value page is displayed with the appraised value and the value available for pledging.

5. Specify the new Pledged Amount. The amount must be less than or equal to the Remaining Value available for pledging.

6. Select Save.
